Pondering a New Race

I really enjoy trying new races-- less crowded, a few kinks to be worked out (as long as it's not running out of water!), and new places to run. There is a 50K in Fries, Va. that sounds pretty interesting. It's being put on by Annette Bednosky--an awesome ultra runner--in October. Check out the website at http://www.ncnr.org/nrt50k.html. That's a lot of training between now and October 11. Training in the heat and humidity as well! Yuck! Need to ponder and pray about this one:).

My children have started summer swim team! It seems a little early this season. They had time trials yesterday for the new swim team coach. They didn't freeze in that cold water! Surprisingly, no icicles were hanging off of them! Swim team will last from May until mid-July. They really enjoy it though.

Workouts this week thus far:
Sunday: Nothing!!! Happy Mother's Day to me!
Monday: Short run (4 miles) trying to keep pace with hubby and child#1
Tuesday: Cycle class , weights

Blessings!

Welcome to our world!!! I'm still trying to figure out the blog thing as well.
Nice seeing you yesterday out there running. I had to stay off the road, and onto some grass. Much kinder to the legs.
